Why Accent XL?

Does the Accent XL cause pain?
The procedure is totally non-invasive and as a result, the treatment is basically pain free. The patient can expect to feel gentle heat or the sensation of heat, however, the cooling system build in to the hand piece minimizes the sensation. The treatment area my get slightly red right after the treatment, but dissipates within a few hours.

Can men and women have the treatment?

How long is each Accent XL treatment session?
We start off with a 30-minute or so evaluation. Treatments are generally not scheduled on the same day as the evaluation. The treatment takes about a half-hour or so and includes measuring the treatment area, performing the calculations, taking pre- or post-photographs, and then the actual treatment.

How many visits will it take to get the optimum result?
This will depend upon the patient, the body area to be treated, and the goal you wish to achieve. For most patients it takes between 3-6 treatments to get the optimum result. Some of the competitive lasers can take over 10 treatments to get similar results.

What are the frequency of treatments with the Accent XL?
Usually, you obtain the best result when the treatment is administered every other week until the desired result is achieved. The body needs time in between treatments to allow the fat cells to be absorbed and discharged through urination.

What happens to the fat cells that get destroyed?
The body safely absorbs the fat and releases it through normal urination.

How long does it take to recover from a treatment?
One can resume normal activities immediately.

What are the contraindications for Accent XL?
Pregnancy, vascular disease, malignancies or diseases of the skin, pacemakers or defibrillators, keloid formations or hypertrophic scars, uterine bleeding, collagen disease, metallic implants, and skin hypersensitivity.

How expensive are the treatments?
The cost for the treatment is extremely competitive and reasonable. The goal is to achieve the desired results with fewer treatments, thus saving hundreds of dollars verses competitive laser systems.
